Lung and Critical care

At our state-of-the-art facility examples of some of the pulmonary diseases that are managed by our physicians include:

Asthma
Chronic obstructive lung disease
Emphysema
Sarcoidosis
Chronic Bronchitis
Occupational Lung Disease
Lung Cancer and Tumors
AsthmaTypical and atypical pneumonias
Pulmonary Hypertension
Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis
Pulmonary complications of respiratory muscle weakness from neuromuscular diseases
Special expertise is also available for patients with pulmonary complications of transplantation, pulmonary hypertension or those who need chronic mechanical ventilation.

An initial visit to our office begins with a in-depth review of the patient's medical history by a pulmonologist followed by a detailed physical examination of any pulmonary symptoms with special attention to the respiratory system. The pulmonologist reviews all other available information such as prior laboratory or imaging studies. Next, the pulmonologist usually renders a preliminary opinion to the patient as to what disease processes may be present. Further diagnostic testing may be requested (see below) and treatment recommendations may be made.

If necessary, follow up visits may be required to review results of diagnostic testing or assess response to new therapies. The pulmonologist works closely with the patient's primary care provider to assure optimal management of diseases of the respiratory tract.

We work together as a team with you so that you understand your medical condition and we help you overcome it.
